In March 2022, I began producing “Radio Jam”, a show on KVMR-FM dedicated to promoting jamming and making music. On Radio Jam I play recordings of songs people like to play and sing together at music jams and share the keys and chords on the air and on my Radio Jam playlists, inviting listeners to join in and jam along to the radio.
Radio Jam airs early every 4th Saturday morning, before “Backroads” and a whole slew of amazing Saturday programs on a radio station that many, including myself, consider to be the greatest in the known universe. You can hear archived Radio Jam shows for two weeks online after a show is on the air. The playlists stay online, featuring not only a list of every song played along with the keys and chords edited in to the “Notes” section, but you can also click on the album icon to play a 45-second clip of the song. In this way the playlists can help you build your jamming songbook long after a show airs.
